4. Let's talk more

I trade equities, but I get the appeal of futures for n00bs because of the increased leverage and better hours you get.

Happy to answer Qs about how to get your feet wet or whether stocks v futures are right for you

Lol if I was a beginner right now I'd just swing trade or trade crypto. Trading equities intraday is for the big boys not hobbyists. Most people would be surprised at how much stocks move every day

The Murphy book is great. Anderson one also good. Also like technical analysis for dummies (not flame). It's a good primer

Stienberger and bellafiore are the best on trading psychology which is arguably more important.

If you feel like you have the ground floor on everything then join one of those online chatrooms with live pro traders. Those are really, really helpful for new traders doing it on there own. There's tons of them out there. Sykes (turned $20k in 2m in college) is the most famous but he has a specific style you may not like. I'd look for somewhere that offers technology along with coaching. Market filters are the most important tool you can have. You can just trade AAPL everyday

Are you looking to trade intraday or swing or combo?

Really watching the volume right now. Really don't like that 1:00pm-7pm 1/16 6-hour candle on gdax.

Anyone have a better source for BTC or ETH charts? Would love to have some better access to historical data. Patterns repeat themselves.

Fwiw I will some BTC in the low 8's based on price alone

For ETH? 675-700 was the last range and the first place I'd start buying. The 450-500 consolidation is much more important imo. I'll be watching closely today for opportunities based on price alone.

As mentioned above I really can't find great candle charts for this and would appreciate any tips.

I'm also more concerned with BTC because it could potentially offer better short term opportunities.

I've said this time and time again that people need to understand that this market is far from legitimate. There is rampant price manipulation by the Chinese and a study came out yesterday that two people likely drove the price up from 150 to 1000 in 2013. In the last year, we've also seen the biggest exchange go offline for "technical issues" dozens of times, millions lost because of how unsophisticated the exchanges are and them permitting a fat finger sale down to $0.10, and Coinbase admitting to massive insider trading in bitcoin cash.

I'm really curious to see where the floor in this is because pretty much everyone I know who got in Nov-Jan is willing to hold to 0.
