I've pulled over to help people on the road several times. I would say most of them simply don't know what to do and you just walk through it be it a dead battery or a tire.

This seems to always work, even if I am wrong. |

I'm sure I've done it wrong and the car still starts. I think they say that you can cause an explosion or something if you do it wrong, but so far I'm still alive.
Tip for master men: If it doesn't start even after you hook up the cables, try gunning the accelerator on the dead car as you start it. I didn't know that trick for a long time. |
