Literally there have been only two instances in modern history of WGWAG on the transnational scale: The Mongol Invasions and Korean Hegemony.
When you look into the deep casual factors, it's actually quite fascinating how we did it.
So in this thread, I will take any and all questions on how we, the Korean people, were the only Asiatic tribe aside from the Mongols who were able to achieve WGWAG on the transnational level.
I will account for this using a combination of history and culture in the Longue Durée framework to explain said phenomena.
Go!

yes, i am.
there are three areas of seoul that can be considered as having skylines comparable to those of other major world cities: gangnam's financial district (my neighborhood), jongno (seouls central financial district), and yeoido (national government and third financial district). in all three areas, there are skyscrapers that provide the feel of a truly urban area
i moved to gangnam for one simple reason: pussy
what a lot of posters do not know about gangnam is that koreans are a very image-conscious people. we judge people by not only their outward appearance, but by their socioeconomic background. and its not like the anglosphere where there is a sense of individuality that can counter sterotypes but rigid categories determine how you will interact with other people.
if i give you an example it will be easier to understand. in korean culture the first question you ask someone when meeting for the first time is their age.
depending on the answer, every speech act henceforth will follow a strict set of rules that cannot be violated if you want to maintain good relations with that person. if you are 18, you are a student with zero life experience who should defer to his or her elders. if you are 60 you are wise and have authority over younger people that comes automatically with age. there is no questioning this.
similarly, when you say you live in gangnam, you are automatically conferred certain qualities: successful, rich, ambitious. in other words, you get respect.
so when you are with a woman and you tell them that you have a gangnam apartment it is automatically placing you above her in the social hierarchy regardless of any other factors that may affect the relative social status of you two.
obviously this is something that i am well aware of and exploit ruthlessly.

there is one other neighborhood in seoul that is equally expensive in terms of real estate - hannam-dong
the problem with said neighborhood is that it is also part of a larger district - yongsan-gu which is literally the shittiest part of seoul because it also contains shitaewon, the foreign district. imagine cabrini green next to central park west. weird, weird combination
hannam, unlike gangnam, has no real nightlife and is not considered desirable by the yuppie crowd.

well if youre more interested in my own personal motivations id be more than happy to talk about that
im assuming you are a new-school poster? i started posting in 2007 and the topic i talked about the most was my love life
one of the things that made me such a well-known figure on this board was the matter of fact posting style i had. i was very, very honest about my sex life. brutally honest.
id talk about my nights out approaching women, dates, even the notorious eskimo kiss. i gave it to the board straight up. no bullshit. sucka free. a lot of people appreciated that.
so if you were with me from day 1 you know that women have always been the motivating factor in my life. part of it was because i was a late bloomer - didnt get laid until senior year of college - and the other part of it is due to my own awareness as merely an individual in a larger, ongoing racial struggle.
ive talked about it numerous times on here but aside from the individual pleasure of sex, i genuinely believe that every race is locked in an ancient struggle for domination and the best way to dominate rival tribes is to fuck their women.
so when i approach women i am not only thinking "fuck shes hot im gonna fuck her" but "this is for the sake of korean men everywhere".
whats really fascinating is that i possess this mentality partially as a result of having been born in america. so this tribal mentality makes sense.
but in korea this is actually what literally every other korean male here thinks even though theyve never experienced real competition from non-korean males.
that is a really fascinating convergence of the tribal conqueror mentality and i find that extremely fascinating as a sociobiological phenomenon

i think a lot of current posters have very little sense of the historicity of this board
definitely tooting my own horn here but i am basically a living board legend. its common knowledge that i have met dozens of posters IRL and obviously they knew i was a NYU UG. the Gangnam WGWAG Playboy shtick is what im known for now because all i talk about is pussy but theres a lot history behind this moniker.
i did NYU philo and i enjoyed every minute it. the good and the bad. i took a required intro to phil class and enjoyed it immensely.
i am also a defective asian and terrible at math. so philo was an easy choice

other than the sciences, philosophy is the one major that is known for deflation. massive, massive deflation. youd be happy with a B+ paper.
the beauty of philosophy is that theres no right or wrong answer. you are judged for the merits of your arguments and how you present them.
this is really frustrating to most people and the cause of much ire but i loved it. but you would never know this because i love to shit on philosophy and the people who do philosophy (another thing i am known for on xoxo)

so you mostly write papers
i thought you guys did logic problems with borrowed notation from math
can you just parrot the talk from academic papers in the field or will they see through your flame

logic was fun. but the only people who pursue it seriously are those interested in set theory which is dry as fuck to me.
philosophy profs are fucking smart so they can smell your bullshit obviously but like i said theyre not looking for any original solutions to fundamental problems - all you can really expect from pothead undergrad shitheads, so that works in your favor if youre sharp
