what's in it for them? My company matches 100 percent of my 401k and it got me wondering: do they get any tax breaks? why would they want to waste money from their own pocket for my 401k?

it makes do damn sense... anyways i wont want to do the 401k thingy. i think it's a boomer scam. and i also need the money.

I get that not all employees will use the match. But I also think tons of employees will not correctly view the match as income. Maybe the match functions as a raise only for those employees who read the fine print and care.
