and which first hand accounts are you referring to?
fwiw a lot of people who argue flat earth theories do it to get a rise out of people, but i think many do it to point out that you haven't actually done any of the research yourself and are trusting scientists without question
edit: and they also argue that the lens of your eyes and camera lenses distort, so it's hard to know what anything looks like without distortion |

their argument about seeing the curvature from a jet is that you're looking out a window that could be curved and also your eyes are curved themselves |
