Not really. I don't use Citgo gas. I rock with Mobil, Shell, and BP. It depends on how much traffic the gas station gets and how fast they flip their gas too. The fresher the better.

Chevron is the best quality gas you can get, period. We don't have that in Chicago though.

Look at it like this: They're slangin gas, and they got the best product. Don't ask too many questions. Do you ask your dealer why his heroin is the best? Because it was manufactured using acetic anhydride and not straight vinegar?

All gasoline in the US is insanely good quality. In Russia its so bad it will kill any engine not built by Lada in like 7 years. Western engines get obliterated by filthy Russian gas. I love seeing Ferraris and shit in Russia because the gasoline there is totally destroying the fuck out of those cars.

Da. Too high compression ratios and built to too high tolerances to burn low octane dirty commie gas. And don't get me started on Russkie motor oil though Rosneft finally started bottling a decent oil like last year.

Depends on your perspective. Since they don't want you buying anything not a Lada and since they actually want global warming it all makes sense.

I don't mind paying extra for better gas, but I see substitutable results whenever I supplement worse (much cheaper) gas with any octane booster that can be had for under $4.00.

So, I'll fill up my car at Shell for around $70.00, or, fill up at some place like Sheetz or Cumberland Farms for closer to $50.00 only I'll add 8 ounces of octane booster. Either way, the costlier or the cheaper, my car seems to like it equally well.

I hasten to add that I have definitely noticed the car disagreeing with the cheap gas after those fill ups where no octane booster had been added.

My car runs 93 octane. Shouldn't all gasoline sold at that octane have tons of additives?
