The dangerous part is that just how the “racist” label is thrown around whenever a viewpoint doesn’t fall in line with hard left orthodoxy, the term “hate speech” is increasingly applied in the same manner.

There’s little to no attempt to actually listen to the point being made before applying the label and shutting them down. If fellow libs call someone a white supremacist, it doesn’t matter what he actually said. It’s time to silence him.

Every time colleges have to spend money on security because of a conservative speaker, they blame the speaker, not the violent libs. It’s not hard to imagine in the next few decades when liberals take over every branch of government that the heckler’s veto will become official policy, and even nuanced conservative thinkers will be punished for “inciting violence” whenever libs decide that the speaker is really just hateful and choose to violently protest an event.
