Seeing everyone post about their stories brings back sick memories and churns my insides. The internet allows us to open up behind lit screens but what is being done in the real world? When we leave the house feeling our best it only takes one moment for some creep to act inappropriately. We are seen as objects. And while we cry physically or internally, with what started to be a good day now has a dent. And it won't be the first and definitely not the last. Something needs to change. What that is I'm not sure. I just hope the "men" I am friends with on Facebook cringe reading this, hoping I won't call them out by name. Or maybe they have different stories in their mind of moments that will forever haunt the dark corners of my mind. While they continue to thrive in a male centric world, I find myself still waiting for an apology that I know inevitably will never come.
