he performed the routine in december 1978, but it didn't seem as dated as i expected. it didn't deal much at all with current events from back then aside from a quick reference to the politician andrew young (carter's UN ambassador at the time) and carter's wife rosalyn. the boxers he mentioned in his boxing routine (leon spinks and ali) are both still well-known. he even mentions computers toward the end of the sex/orgasm routine at the end. the material was actually a lot more perennial than other comedy specials that came later in time.

the most dated thing was probably his repeated use of "jack." "that's alright, jack!" that sort of thing.
