I HAVE DECIDED TO RESTORE THIS TRADITION BECAUSE I AM GETTING MY HOPES UP
Notre Dame (#9, 6-1, 6-1 ATS) v. NC State (#14, 6-1, 4-0, 3-4 ATS), Saturday, October 28, 2017, 3:30 pm ET, NBC
ND -7.5, I like our O-line to lead the charge in covering.

If USC and Michigan State (both total blowouts btw) aren't beating good teams, then who has beaten a good team? Under your metric, the only teams you could even argue have beaten a good team are:
- Clemson (VT)
- Cal (Washington State)
- TCU (Ok St.)
- ASU
- Georgia
- Oklahoma
- South Carolina (NC State)

What's the difference between this years team and the one that went 4-8 last year?
Did last years team feature too many young guys that grew up this year?
Did the new coordinators make that big a difference?
What's changed? (I haven't actually watched ND at all this year)

1- Strength and conditioning had become a major joke. Completely overhauled. Guys showed crazy results. That means guys who were in the program for 2 years or so, showed huge jumps this year.
2- Van Gorder was the worst DC to coach in college football. He literally made players worse. Defense improved when he was fired and they didn't reall have a DC last year. Bring in Elko who's actually a very good DC and that's a huge difference.
3- Offensive coordinator has focused on the running game. OL is a dominant group.
4- No QB drama like last year which really split the locker room.

Lol at the jjc-like incoherent rage of the anti-ND crowd ITT.
Btw, the ND-has-a-weak-schedule "argument," if it was ever true, has not been true in many, many years. It is only even a fair observation when you're specifically comparing ND to an SEC West team in one of those years (not this one) when that division is insane.
