then, in discovery, it becomes apparent that you've got a pool of docs you typically use and you used the same doc whos opining about permanency in your case in 100 other cases--and by referral. Credibility goes down the tubes on that. How do you get around that? I think you have tried about 15 jury trials--you know that can be a problem. |

What I don't get is how you got what you got on that $250K case. I want to know baseline valuation mechanism in Cali on that.
In my state it used to be 3X specials, but its dropped down precipitously. Also juries aren't paying nearly what they used to pay.
I guess--LA must be pretty damn plaintiff friendly to cop those valuation numbers overall. Makes sense--its a pretty damn blue state. Is there a 3X guideline or anything like that you guys apply informally?

Slip and fall @ Cocos. Client had "back pain." Chiro, MRI, Ortho (no shots or surgery. Negative MRI findings). She claimed the rubber divider between the carpet and the wood was flaring up a tiny bit and caused her to fall.
