Don't give away a percentage of your business for "of counsel" and free office space. Unless you think your worth is $150/month and a website. The only value anyone can give you is cases/referrals. Don't give up equity for anything else. |

Could be policy limits if causation isn't an issue and if the person has serious quality of life issues. Or it could be 30k if there are causation/liability issues and the person has a sedentary life/job. I have a torn rotator cuff right now with farmers where the offer on the table is 45K after I filed (but pre-surgery). Client just had surgery on October 20 and I'm sending a new demand for limits of 250K. Case will probably settle for around 150K is my guess.
How much did that case settle for in mediation? |

Liability is a problem--which would be DONUT zero recovery risk in contrib jurisdictions, and needs surgery but hasn't had it yet is a lot different than had surgery because of.
If I got $50K out of that I would feel pretty good. |
