Most new stadiums have a little bit of SRO but Jerryworld has something ridiculous - it’s like 80,000 seats but 20k in “party pass” SRO areas.

I guess it’s better than tarps

to be fair, don't most NFL teams sell out season tickets? or is that just a NY thing?

It could be that most of the tickets are sold ahead of time and so that really means 98% "sold out".

i suppose, but dont attendance stats count attendance? why not just assess a dollar amount of tickets sold? BUTT IN SEAT is all that counts.

idk. would you put it past (((them))) to use that sleight of hand?

if they've already sold the seats they've banked the money, though i suppose they lose out on concessions and gear. a great question is what is the % breakdown of what the average fan spends at an NFL game between ticket price and parking/concessions/gear. i truly have no idea.

If the ticket was paid for it counts, regardless of who shows up. It’s always been that way. Non SPORTSNUTS should do a little research

It’s counted this way because “attendance” was what triggered the old blackout provisions.

I'm sure that's a large part of this,

is that it though, people bought tickets, and just aren't using them?

tbf, the resale price of Falcons games still seem reasonably strong

https://www.stubhub.com/find/s/?q=atlanta%20falcons

No $6 tickets for sale

I was shocked at how many empty seats you could see for that Falcon's game,

you'd figure a team that went to the Super Bowl last year, and the Cowboys, wouldn't have difficulty filling the place

I’d be more surprised if they started showing up to regular season games that aren’t Carolina or New Orleans
