Now he does small business transactional and consulting type work, municipal, non-felony criminal, wills etc. He absolutely refuses to do family law. |

The xo of today has a lot of ppl who aren't on the career track to where in-house is tantalizingly just out of reach, and we've also gotten some actual shitlaw royalty (epah, calishitlawguru, even rsf sort of counts) poasters to remind us that your chances of making it big aren't lottery odds. |

She has good hours (8-4) and the job is super low stress. Her pay isn't great (120K) but she gets 5 weeks vacation and unlimited sick. Since she gave birth to our son they let her switch to 60% work from home too.
These jobs can be really chill if you find the right one. It is perfect for her because I work a lot more and it gives her time to help with house stuff and be a mom.
Edit: She also hates dealing with people and likes not having clients. Solo practice would not be a good fit for her. |
