The U.S. spends nearly 1/5 of its GDP on health care. We're fucking retards.

fats are primarily a result of the sugar lobby and our fucked up food industry
not sure about "browns" but literally every other western country has significant minority populations of diverse genetic backgrounds and doesn't have a problem
kikes, well, i'm not racist, so i'm going to choose to interpret your slur as an insult against those who seek profit at the expense of all else and especially with disregard of the greater good. so that part of your comment is right.

Our prices are higher, not just usage. (Maybe that's last part of your comment.)
Edit: And we don't have a high number of visits.
"With only four per year, Americans also had fewer physician visits than the OECD median (6.5 visits). In contrast, the average Canadian had 7.7 physician visits and the average Japanese resident had 12.9 visits in 2012."

all our healthcare system has become is yet another disincentive to work.
why do i want to slave away for $45k at a horrible job, that probably gets by on labeling me part-time while demanding full-time hours, where i can't even afford my crushing student loans, only to also pay exorbitant healthcare premiums (with super-high deductibles) to cover all the people who aren't willing to even try to work?

USA spends around 3 trillion on healthcare per year. If you reduce per capital spending to Switzerland level you reduce that amount by 1.5 trillion. That is money being taken from the economy and a lowering of GDP of almost 10 percent.
Healthcare, like education, is a make work industry. That it costs so much is not a reflection on how expensive it is, rather that we are much poorer than we realize.
