Back when I was a kid I thought knowing stuff and having encyclopedic knowledge of things meant the most.

But now as an adult I realize critical thinking skills are #1.

my teachers since i was in elementary were always about critical thinking. as a kid growing up in the 1990s, i didn't really see much importance in it... but now that i am a working adult, paying taxes, i see why they highlighted it so much
