taking a risk within the JIRA system

Date: November 20th, 2017 2:19 PM Author: odious french chef theater stage when you're working in a JIRA system, and within a scrum structure.. the safest thing you can do is just working on tickets assigned to you, repeatedly asking for clarifications until every single detail is thought out for you, then go through the process which is 5 stages and make pull requests and earn story points.
a more risky thing to do is to take a liberal interpretation of a ticket, assign it to yourself, and put in the efforts to push through changes that are not described in the ticket, that will benefit the project on the long run (beyond the two weeks sprint cycle)..
the JIRA/agile system really discourages this type of risk taking.. but i have rich parents so i don't really have that much attachment toward this job. |
