1. Find a good chiropractor. Don't bother with scam ones, find a good one. If you have the cash for an expensive one, contact the best college athletics dept in your area and ask if they use a local one. If they use inhouse or don't have recommendations, ask around with orthopedists in your area and find out who they recommend. Also see if any teach at local universities. If you don't have the cash for a good one, then just check around and find one that will do x-rays and prescribes rehab exercises.

2. If you have an injury from training poorly, you should see a doctor to get an idea of what the damage is. This determines a lot - a herniated disk and a pinched nerve are treated radically differently.

3. Lift. One of the best things you can do for your back is to develop the musculature needed to keep the spine in a proper position, and protect it from being placed in a bad position. Compound lifts, particularly the powerlifting big 3 + rows are good for back. USE PROPER FORM OR YOU WILL FUCK YOURSELF UP, but don't let that stop you from starting. Rehab exercises are important as well to target stabilizers. Swimming is also good, but medical treatment is most important.
