fun note: i googled "contact sports" to see if i was somehow forgetting an obvious one, and this is what wikipedia gave me:
Examples of contact sports are football (soccer), roller derby, lacrosse, rugby league, rugby union, American football, muggle quidditch, quidditch, water polo, kabaddi, hurling, handball, Australian rules football, ice hockey and wheelchair rugby
