Murray has to have the record at the AO with 5 finals losses

Borg is a good guess at the USO with 4 finals losses.

Murray and Borg are confirmed for the AO and USO, respectively

At RG, during the Open Era Corretja and Soderling each have 2 losses and 0 wins. Prior to the Open Era it's Paul Lebreton with 3 finals losses and 0 wins

Wimbledon is Andy Roddick during the Open Era with 3 finals losses and 0 wins.

Prior to the Open Era, Fred Stolle, Frank Riseley, and Gottfried von Cramm each had 3 finals losses and 0 wins.

Congrats Andy Murray, you have the overall record with 5 finals losses and 0 wins at a single major (AO)!

ljl at this faggot.

if we change the question to who had ever had an 0-fer before eventually winning one, who do we get? goran was 0-3 in wimby finals before winning one, no? fed and djoker's RG 0-fers are up there, too.

I'd have to go back and look. You might get some weird results 100 years ago with guys who lost the USO final like 6 times before winning one.

how do you explain murrayfag winning 2 W + 1 USO + 2 OSGs but no AO despite 5 finals? i think it's just pure luck/randomness. he was the shittier player in every single final except raonic at wimby, and it's just a question of djoker choking vs. not choking.

just because murray was the worse player doesn't mean you'd expect murray to lose every time. djokovic only holds an 11-8 edge over murray in finals matches, for example.

it could be that slight surface differences produce outsized results.

could also be some luck involved.

could be a mental thing too.

Djoker choker a lot of those finals. Maybe the storyline should be that djoker is a choker in all finals not just slam finals.

What mental thing could it be other than that djoker is less likely to choke in the AO which is the least prestigious and then cracks under pressure at the us open and Wimby.

Djoker didn't really choke the Wimby or USO loss to Murray. He was just worn out. Especially at the USO.

Maybe once Murray lost 2-3 finals in a row in Oz he just started feeling the pressure more, combined with Djoker having so many wins there that he doesn't feel much pressure?

The other interesting thing is that, aside from the one win in 2012, Murray has played MUCH better overall at the AO as opposed to the USO.

djoker totally choked both of those slam finals. the windy USO final was an absolute joke.

ljl at feeling the pressure to win an AO.

murrayfag plays terrible at the USO because he's a whiny injured faggot striver and cant get it together for an entire season
