we just hired a junior for a summer internship and this person has 2 summers of hedge fund experience already, straight up skipped ibanking.
in fact, i'd bet that a comp sci degree from columbia is one of the best positions to be in as a 21-22 year old. you get the best of both worlds and can pretty much get any top quant or straight buyside pe/hf gig u want. |
