Date: December 6th, 2017 12:49 AM Author: high-end base go check with them but i think even great-grandparents can work with the Italians I think it is that the child of an Italian is automatically Italian without registration, and therefore so is their child, and so on, so if you can provide a clear line of descent from an Italian (birth certificates etc.) then you are potentially already Italian without knowing it but you need to figure out the citizenships of your ancestors going back several generations and then figure out what the rules of those countries allow

very few people have applied, in actuality. when the policies were first announced, there was talk that you'd have millions of people applying. it's relatively expensive. the process is confusing. you need lawyers. you need to get all sorts of official bureaucratic documents like apostilled birth certs and fbi background checks. etc.
it's a pain in the ass and the average moroccan wife beater who works at a falafel stand in tlv isnt doing this shit. |

legit contentious issues -- attempts to choke off discussion are a huge problem in America too obviously, but they are just much more successful in Europe. Immigration is widely talked about in America, but basically completely shut down as a topic in most European countries. Same goes for a lot of topics. The French political classes control the debate (and media) discussion) in a way inconceivable in America; same to some degree in places like Germany too and even in Britain. People are also just much more willing to go along passively with the received wisdom than in America. It is a huge problem.
Econ prospects, innovation, immigration pools -- you are right, but on all of this America is still in better shape than Europe. Just take a look at youth unemployment rates in Spain France Italy Greece etc etc, and read about young being condemned to a couple of decades of "internships" and 1-year contracts. The boomers have fucked the young by rigging the labor market 100 times worse in Europe than in America. |

also, while muslims are horrible immigrants, i do think that cuts both ways. they are worse to have in the country, but that also makes them easier to identify as a threat and ultimately expel if needed, especially through laws attacking islam and their beliefs and culture.
but i've sort of refined my thinking on liberalism and how it relates to the west, and while i think racial and ethnic demographic changes are bad, i think the biggest issue facing the west is the gender divide. look at the US for example: if we didn't have the 19th amendment today we'd be way, way less liberal, even including racial and ethnic demographic changes.
ultimately i think the way the west defeats liberalism is by women eschewing liberalism, the state, and toxic feminism and instead embracing nuclear families, child-rearing, american culture, and religion. unfortunately, the likelihood of that happening doesn't exactly help me sleep at night. |
