say 1000 miles from the point of first impact.

Would you be watching a giant stone the size of the sky hit the surface of the earth?

Or would it just be a rain of big rocks as gravity tore shit up.

Would you float up in the air because of a change in the forces of gravity?

That would be trippy as fuck. The speck of moon keeps getting bigger and bigger as it approaches. At first you woulf be like, thats odd? Eventually you would begin to realize holy shit its fucking coming right at us.

If alone or with small group you would probably believe that you were having a psychotic episode. Idk you can prolly run simplr equations to calculate gravitational force per square inch or something...than check to see what that means re effect on human body.

What is crazy is seeing this big ass stone bigger than the titanic bigger than the curve of the earth fucking crashing down

well, I placed us 1000 miles away from the point of initial contact so you would see some crazy shit that's for sure.

Yes but for some reason i place self at direct point of impact naturally.

You are right though as chunks of it are flying off and shit it would probably make for an insane fireworks show. Are there many different elements on moon? Different colors and shit maybe too?

I dont think atmosphere would do shit too the moon really....think it depends on velocity and shittt

This would be cool to model and out in vr headset

You'd get blasted a mile into the air on impact, it would be like an astronomical "double bounce" on the trampoline

the whole sky would become moon, but it would be blocking out sunlight, so really absolutely everything would go 100% pitch black for minutes before impact. I guess you might also feel tremendous air pressure as it pushed atmosphere towards you?

i wonder about that. obv it would cut off sunheat, but I dont know how quickly the air temp would change. Btw, we have already done more ITT than most scientists will do today

if the air pressure changes that would necessarily affect ambient temp right?

The moon would appear to be the same size as it is now, until the moment of impact. But by then you, and all life on earth, would be dead.

Edit hmmm its hard imagining moons movement through space from 1000 miles away. The 3d + scaling makes it odd.

This happened in the movie Melancholia but not with the moon, it was an undiscovered planet hiding behind the sun
