it was from the interrogs themselves I guess. we send the defense counsels interrogs to the clients and have them scrbble out answers and send them back to us.

Guess she got confused. Notwithstanding our cover letter which pretty clearly tells her what to do.

I keep asking him for my emotion of discovery, an he keep telling me he ain’t got it yet. I need my right of speedy trial. [cites a bunch of cases scribbled from some dog-eared crim law primer from 1998]

I once made the mistake of attaching a copy of a proposed order to a draft motion seeking a paternity test to a pro-bono client who wanted to review the motion before filing. The idiot client (literal 90IQ prole) confused the proposed order for a real one and went to the clinic in the date in the proposed order. The clinic hit him with an $800 bill even though he had no appointment. Naturally the other party never showed up because the date and the clinic selected in the proposed order was changed by the judge in the final order. Nigger threatened to sue me for malpractice. It was hilarious.

Big mistake. That's almost as bad as Cc'ing the client on a demand letter.

That was the last pro bono I will ever do. Also the last time I ever took a non-corporate client. Repping individuals who have no clue isn't worth any paycheck. Dealing with the most demanding inhouse counsel is vastly preferable.
