My recovery was very fast in that I walked . . . right off the operating table (although awkwardly and slowly). Unfortunately I never made it back to 100%. I still have some instability. I can run up and down the basketball court, jump (although not really with any explosiveness, probably lost 8-10 inches off my vertical). However, as soon as it changes from doing a premeditated athletic "move" to something reactive, it all breaks down. Just can't do it anymore.
Probably the worst thing to happen to me, in terms of impacting my enjoyment of life. |

just a week ago i reiterated this to a friend, and he said, "nah, wentz knows how to slide, he's good about it now, i'm not worried..."

Had to focus on positioning my leg so that it was straight and forward each step, because if it was angled at all or turning, it would crumple in toward other leg. Granted after a while I built up the stabilizing muscles so that I could walk normally, but LOL at trying to pay a sport involving cutting decelerating, juking, etc, with a completely torn acl.
