Regularly arguing Supreme Court cases is pretty prestigious, but even then it's not like you need to be THAT smart to argue about the legislative history of some dumb statute. It's all intellectual wankery. If a neurosurgeon has a bad day at work, someone dies. If a lawyer flubs oral argument the Court is still going to vote down political lines. |
