The privilege of ANYTHING belongs to the people who own it. Trying to essentially give it away dilutes that privilege. It's no different than robbing a community chest.

If your reasoning applies to American citizenship, it applies to wealth etc too. And if spreading wealth around by confiscation and redistribution is fair, then so is spreading American citizenship around.

I’m not being pro open immigration. Americans built this country and its culture and are entitled to determine who gets access to it.

But you can’t then turn around and say you are in favor of aggressive redistribution. Families built wealth in the same way that Americans built the country and culture. And if you say to economic migrants “go build your own country” (which is fair), then you also need to say to lower income people “go build your own wealth and income”.
