Both have a modern P bass neck which is OK but still thicker than I'd like. The Sire model has a thin jazz neck.
I've watched tons of videos universally everybody is amazed by the build quality and finish considering the price tag.

These imitations always stuff 1000 features into their stuff, like fancy binding, eq, etc but usually none of it works as well as a simpler better made instrument. This model has the exact same features as the fender american elite p bass, which costs $2,000.
I agree with you that there are some garbage chinese made instruments, but I don't think your general observation applies to this specific brand. There are loads of independent reviews and literally all of them say they cannot believe how good the quality of the instrument is all around. |

this is a PJ meaning it has a p bass pickup and a jazz bass bridge pickup. it also has a built in EQ for active mode. Fender does make a version of this bass as well, but like I said above, the mexican model doesn't have as good a built in preamp, the american model is $2,000 and neither has a jazz style neck which I prefer.
I don't care what I look like playing it. People will be distracted by my handsome face anyway. |
