my insurance requires 300/500 to get an umbrella, but same difference.

better to get 300/500+ 1m umbrella or just get 500k/1m policy?

300/500+ 1m umbrella (1194 / 6 mo) is like $100 MORE than 500k/1m policy (1089 / 6 mo)

so if a um hits me in the 1st, i cant use the umbrella beyond the 300k?

I think my umbrella covers um/uim or my state allows different coverages for liability vs. umuim and I did that. Can't remember which but I have one or the other. If u can't do that, decide how much umuim u need and suck it up. Umbrella is cheap af, get it either way.

Insurance is the biggest scam -- there is a $6 difference for me going from 100/300 to 25/50 for BI & property damage

When I had old shitcars and carried no comprehensive it was 180

Some local PI attorney told me NOT to get umbrella even though I have tons of assets. Said somehow if he knew I had an umbrella he would be even more motivated to pursue. I wasn't really sure if that made sense.
