Holy shit Oscar-frontrunner Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing is terrible

Date: January 18th, 2018 8:42 PM Author: Territorial Coldplay Fan If this movie wins best picture (won best drama at Golden Globes) there's going to be a huge SJW backlash like with "Crash" because a racist cop has a redemption arc, but that's not the reason why the movie sucks (it also has annoyingly SJW elements casually thrown in like the white woman protagonist saying things like "youre too busy torturing black people to solve my daughter's murder! and a random as fuck rant against a catholic priest about pedolphilia when the movie never mentions religion in any other place)
the reason why it sucks is that there are a ton of plot holes and contrivances and the movie says nothing. there's even also a prolonged conversation with a fucking CGI deer.
This is honestly the worst movie I have seen in a long time. |

I put I, Tonya on a similar level to Lady Bird. Entertaining, fine, nothing too memorable. Same with Disaster Artist. |

I thought 3 billboards was really good not great - but overall I've almost completely given up on film as a medium. I can't remember the last time I saw a great film in the theater (2007 probably). |

there were actually two really good movies that everyone has slept on as well. roman israel esq. was really good, if a bit too niggery, but thats alright. was surprised nobody liked it. and that suburbicon movie was outstanding. it was crazy. george coloney finally directed a good movie. it looked amazing. |

Also, how out of touch are libs that they are giving Sam Rockwell's performance awards? Not that his performance was per se bad, but the character is completely unbelievable. Like do libs believe that in small towns police officers just throw people out of buildings with no repercussions? |

That said, Three Billboards was fantastic. Frances McDormand is the best actress of this generation and her performance was excellent. The movie was a very well done comedic drama. I loved the exchange at the end where Frances McDormand admits to burning down the police station and Rockwell says "well who the hell else would ita been?"
