The date - I have one bar that I've had 80% of these first dates at. This bar is less than a 5 min walk from my apartment. The wait staff knows me and treats me well because I tip well. I will usually wait until each of us has had 2 drinks each and then ask the girl what she feels like doing, and propose we go to another bar close by and dance or open a bottle of wine at my place. I'd say about 70% will come to my place. Sometimes I have to go on another date to close the deal and bang teh chick. I've had a number of chicks that have just come straight to my apartment to bang. I was admittedly more straight forward with them.
What I've learned: Girls want a strong confident masculine guy who isn't a weirdo. They think intelligence is sexy - more accurately, what they perceive as intelligence is sexy. Most of these girls are not intelligent at all.
Your time is your time. If you're on a date w/ a girl and you're getting some signs shes not into you, just leave. Seriously just say its not working out and ask for the bill, move on to the next girl.
What I wish that I had known from the beginning: There would be a few girls along the way that were worth trying to have a relationship with. But it's actually much more difficult to realize at the time of seeing them.
For each party, the attraction to 'something new' is much greater than any connection youre going to make on the date of afterward. The chase is 98% of the fun and some girls - who I suspect have used the apps for years, like me - understand this and will drag out foreplay and get into some very sexy shit. Examples: had a girl meet me at a bar once and we were at the edge of the bar, still very visible but not the center of attention. I shifted the topic to something related to sex and mid conversation she pulled her underwear off (she was wearing a dress) and put them in my pocket.
