Also, ethnostate.
People who are invested in their country and see it as their homeland are more likely to take care of it and its people compared to someone who just got off the boat a few years ago, has no long term roots in the country, and is quite happy to leave for somewhere else if they get a better career/offer
Its amazing this is no longer common sense.
