There's a lot of interesting crossover with what I see in Saudi and what I saw in the US. But here most of the small biz guys are South Asian. They all kind of blur together.
A VAT was introduced here. Wanna know what happened by about Day 2? It came to light that corporate chain retailers were jacking up prices AND adding on the VAT percentage to the total bill. I think a higher-up put a quick stop to that, pretty much told the CEOs to get that fixed in 24 hours or they were going to the Ritz Carlton. Then the Saudis had a massive temper tantrum so the government is giving every citizen a welfare check every month. So who's paying VAT now? This idiot right here. |

The other weird thing is the racism. Many don't want dark skin customers. Many don't want any customers other than fellow Arabs. How the hell do these guys stay in business I don't understand. |
