PROTIP:
Do lower reps in each set.
EG: do 10x3 instead of 3x10. Use 30 - 45 seconds between each set.
I do this on volume days. Helps save CNS so I can go hard on heavy days.

Also -- work hard on mobility and getting to real depth.
Part of the reason people don't like squats is that they can't do a full range of motion and so as they lower down they know they are getting close to a point where they are too weak. So they end up 1/2 repping.
Work on your form and all that hesitation and fear will go away.

I did this crazy cardio hour at this new gym I just joined. We were doing squats and lunges while holding a 45 lb plate.
At one point I went down for a squat and my thighs seized up. I thought I was done but I finished out the hour.
I could barely walk when I got home and rubbed some Ben Faggot on my legs.
They're all rubbery today. Hate squats.

Squats
Rows
Overhead press
Curls
Tricep press
Then we had to hold the plate and lunges around the entire gym with it.
That is one set. We had to do three.
That took up like 15 or 20 minutes.

because you have to support your own bodyweight and balance, neither of which you have to do when leg pressing.
take it from your big homey. im 230lbs of twisted steel and i assure you the difference is neglible especially at the natty level
hell most pro bodybuilders have abandoned squatting in favor of leg presses for their knees

Wrong on most accounts. Squats are harder because you have to support the weight of the bar with your entire body. A leg press is supported.
Also, bodybuilders may opt for leg press over squats because it allows for my direct quad activation/development. But a leg press is terrible for your knees at heavier weights due because you are locked into the plane of the machine, which can put a lot of shearing force on the joint. Proper squats shouldn't hurt your knees at all.
