One thing that has not been discussed yet much, because of all the other treasonous shit, is how the texts clearly show Strzok was behind many of the leaks and MSM articles coming out. When Comey got riled up by Trump after being fired, the FIRST thing he thought to do was to go leak shit to the media. It was reflexive, par for the course, and he was director of the FBI for Christ sakes.
So, not only did they see that they could craft a narrative through blatant lies/leaks to the media, but they knew that Fake News would protect them.
They felt completely safe and untouchable. Look at the texts - they are pervasive. Strzok and Paige aren't some dumb boomers forwarding porn links to their buddies. Strzok was a special agent in "counter-intelligence" operations. They discussed keeping certain details off the official phones, but then did it anyways, because they couldn't comprehend a world in which they'd ever be questioned.
What sickens me the most, is if they were willing to do this to a fucking President, I wonder what happens to run of the mill targets that don't have the benefit of multiple congressional investigations and an inspector general. |
