I rate you as the review by cather76 (from Charleston, Illinois) of Royal Lounge, the #2 rated restaurant in Hargeysa, Somalia
Delicious Breakfast of Camel Liver
I stayed across the road from Royal Lounge at Egan Apartments. The owner told me to eat here so I met a Somali friend here for breakfast. The server was friendly and spoke English well. The food came out quickly along with our Somali tea. It was my first time trying camel liver, but I fell in love with it. Great place!

I rate you as Francesca A's review of 5 Fourchettes, the only Indian restaurant in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic
Indian food in Bangui and fair pizza
5 fourchettes is a restaurant with a good service: fast, clean and precise. The owners are very nice and take attention to details.
I used to call them to order a pizza or some indian food while staying late at the office or for a quick lunch break. They delivery quite on time, except on saturday or sunday, when too crowded.
I do not like the "servicescape": there is not enough light and the furniture and colors should be renovated.
If in Bangui again, I would definitely order there almost every week!

I rate you as Michael C's review of the Obama Cafe in Conakry, Guinea
Nice concept and decent food.
Again, everything is relative in this world, and for Conakry I'd say it was quite OK - with a really nice atmosphere. The food was OK, but nothing fantastic. Our waiter tried to cheat us for ca: 200,000 Gfr on the bill - watch out!

You are mazio1973's mere 3-star review of Barracuda, the #1 sushi restaurant in Freetown, Sierra Leone
Disappointing
This restaurant sits next to a Lebanese cafe/bar. It's decor is nice but the food is ordinary especially as I was ill after eating there. So were my friends that visited with me.
Found the staff miserable.
You may get a better experience than we did.

You are Biel G's review of Gina's, the most prestigious froyo and ice cream place in Freetown, Sierra Leone
Nice milky shakes
Big variety of milkshakes. They are always nice. There is also a place to be with friends and talk. Can go upstairs to play some games. And nice place to stay after work for a coffee or a crepe with your collegues.

you are ian0345's review of the Phoenix Hotel Chinese Restaurant in Monrovia, Liberia. ian0345 is a stickler for authenticity and he found it here.
Looking for authentic Chinese food in Monrovia? Stop looking and just eat here!
The Phoenix Hotel is a hotel in Sinkor just on Tubman Boulevard. On the ground floor of the hotel is a Chinese restaurant.
Pros:
The restaurant is run by mainland Chinese. They do speak fair English. But if you speak Mandarin (Putonghua), that will be an advantage.
The main advantage of this is that means that you are definitely eating CHINESE food, cooked by CHINESE. Thus you know the food you are getting is authentic. We ordered the Prawns & Corn, Pan-fried noodles, Special Fried Rice (Beef, Chicken and Prawns) and the Bak Choy in garlic sauce. We found the food very tasty, fresh, and perfectly spiced. Not too much oil either.
The food was affordable. For a party of 4, our bill came to about $60, which we thought was fair.
Interestingly, the food has been slightly modified for local West African tastes. I found the fried rice spicier compared to Hong Kong or mainland Chinese restaurants, but it was still delicious. I highly recommend the Prawn & Shrimp.
Service was good. There was only one waiter, a young chinese man. But he was friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming. In short, he helped us enjoy our meal there immensely. The chef was a small middle-aged Chinese woman who kept coming out of the kitchen to say hello. She seemed cheerful, bright and perky. A real pleasure to be around.
Cons:
The restaurant is located in Sinkor and you can see that the surrounding area is not completely safe. The hotel itself is surrounded by 10 foot high walls surrounded by barbed wire. Thus I would suggest using your NGO-government-sponsored driver, private car or other taxi to take you to the restaurant and back. Walking to the restaurant (especially at night) might not be the safest of options. However the location is quite easy to find. It's on Tubman Boulevard.
In summary, the Phoenix hotel has a Chinese Restaurant serving CHINESE food. Run by CHINESE. The food is tasty, affordable, and authentic. If you are Chinese and miss Chinese food, I would recommend coming here. Just be ready to use your Mandarin (Putonghua).
You absolutely MUST click through and see the pictures of this place:

you are this enthusiastic review of Ma Ju's & The Burger Spot in Monrovia, Liberia
Am a big big fan of their so-called Big Ju Burger, it's so yummy!!!
My visit at Ma Ju's & The Burger was very excellent, I had wonderful experiences with their staffs, managers and food at most! Everyone kept smiling with me and my spouse from start to end of the service. I love ordering and having lunch there, you can also try their ice cream dessert.

Solomon's Deli in Panama City, Panama. Home to the BEST BURGER IN PANAMA
Delicious Reuben and the best burger
Great service, great food, good prices. My husband and I kept staring at the menu because everything seemed so good, the very nice owner recommended the reuben and the burger and we had a hard time deciding which was better. Both were delicious! The poutine fries were better then the ones we tried in Canada.
Best service we've had in Panama, staff is well trained and nice. You can tell the owners take pride in serving quality food.
S'mores for dessert is a perfect ending. Highly recommeded restaurant!

In Pierre Douton's home town of Dakar, Senegal, I rate you as this review of LA PAMPA, Senegal's #1 Argentinian steakhouse
FOR THE MEAT LOVERS
Feeling really hungry and craving a great steak, I found this place on Trip Advisor rated quite high up on the list. Being close to the hotel, off I went to this place.
POSITIVE POINTS:
The restaurant is nice, modern and immaculate clean. Nice decoration adding in a warm feel to the place, and truly friendly staff, catering professionally to my needs with a smile on the face. Comfortable seating, with decent spaces between the table for a tranquil meal.
The menu is great, with two choices of meat… “Argentinian imported meat” and “local meat”. They also have a few choices of fish, and a complete list of Pizzas that they also serve. Well… this is an Argentinian Restaurant, so for me it was a no brainer to choose the Argentinian imported meat (more expensive than the local options – but worth it, I guarantee). Steak with a side of veggies and fries + a bottle of nice red wine, and off I was to a gastronomical pleasure.
Service was fast, and food arrived in a decent span of time… EXACTLY as ordered (medium rare), just perfect. Slicing effortlessly into the steak, it was tender, juicy and filled with flavour of superior quality beef… that is a fact. The fries were fresh, and the veggies were truly tasty, all washed down with a decent red wine… which was a perfect meal for my taste.
I did not have steam left for desert, so I simply ordered an expresso coffee, that rounded off the evening perfectly.
NEGATIVE POINTS:
I would only have ONE negative point to add into this section… even though it does not downgrade my rating as top class, and that would be:
Napkins are those pathetic small paper ones. For a restaurant of this class, I would expect proper linen clean napkins to set over the lap, while indulging into this perfect meal. For the price paid, and the class of restaurant this is… paper napkins are truly pathetic. This would be my only suggestion to improve.
SUMMING UP:
Yes, it was expensive… around EURO. 50,00 for what I mentioned above. I have mentioned many times before, that I do not mind paying good money for good food… and my meal was worth every cent spent. I certainly recommend this place… for meat lovers.

This review of Pure Plage, a luxurious beachside gastropub in Lome, Togo
Retreat from Plateaux
Our family stayed three nights at Pure Plage with our daughter who is in the Peace Corps in Togo. Our stay was excellent. Great service, large bungalow type rooms, clean beach and hidden from the craziness of Lome. We ate dinner two nights. Ribs, chicken skewers with veggies, grilled local fish in a rustic atmosphere. Food was amazing. U.S. size portions in a laid back tropical French setting. Language was a challenge and wifi sporadic at best. That being said a true oasis in Lome. Great place to escape and relax.

Tony Roma's is an American-style restaurant found in San Salvador, El Salvador. But bushpilot2 from Ann Arbor, MI found it to be TOO American
I recommend getting to a local restaurant. Always better food and you support the local economy.
I ate at Tony Romas and it was like eating at an Airport dive with plastic tables and a menu you could find anywhere western culture has found root. Palatable, safe but so uninspired as to seem like Burger King.

Restaurante Coreano Donde Voy, possibly the only Korean restaurant in Guatemala
Where the locals eat
Located off the beaten path in a residential neighborhood but definitely where the locals eat. If you are staying at Tikal Futura Hotel, you will be very close to this place. For the price it is quite an experience. First they welcome you with 5 different appetizers accompanied by rice water. Then comes the soup and salad and lastly your order arrives. The dishes are large enough to sample and share with the rest of your group. Because of the attractive way in which the platters are presented, one would think that the cook spent a lot of time in the preparation of the food which is flavored to perfection. I ordered the mackerel which came with white rice and potatoes, it was delicious!

Dine in the Dark - a Phnom Penh restaurant that has no lights, simulating what it's like to be blind
Amazing experience
Walking by saw the huge tripadviosr sign so decided to check it out. Lobby wasn't that impressive and I really did not understand what was going to happen but went for it anyway. Glad I did. What en experience! You select your choice of meal type and tell them about allergies. You do not however know what you will get.
A blind servers comes down from the second floor where the dining room is and take you up to total absolute darkness. Its actually a bit daunting for the first couple of minutes. By touch you find where everything is at your table and the food start arriving. It was a ton of fun trying to guess what you were eating and all the spices. In the absence of sight your sense of taste seem to be enhanced. I loved the whole experience and came out with a greater appreciation of what the blind have to go through each day. Brave people to say the least! I was traveling solo so this place was perfect fro me. No feeling weird about eating alone! While you do hear other dinners you obviously cant see them.
As to the food. Its very well cooked but simple. Don't expect a gourmet meal. Its good solid food for a very reasonable price.
