The Trump administration, under fire from lawmakers for not punishing Moscow over election meddling, said Monday it will not implement Russia-related sanctions mandated by Congress last year because the threat itself is acting as a "deterrent."
The decision was made public after nightfall on deadline day for implementing sanctions against those who do business with Russian defense and intelligence firms, as required under a 2017 law.
Since the law took effect six months ago, said State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert, "We estimate that foreign governments have abandoned planned or announced purchases of several billion dollars in Russian defense acquisitions."
The decision was less concrete than some lawmakers envisioned when the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act passed last summer. Though also mentioning Iran and North Korea, the law was billed as a U.S. response to Moscow's interference in the 2016 presidential election.
A list of potential targets was drawn up last month in anticipation of Monday's deadline for implementing secondary sanctions. Instead, a State Department official said there is no need for them to be put into place now "because the legislation is, in fact, serving as a deterrent."

I agree with most of this but don’t see how it’s responsive"
lol, WLMAS is basically a republican who hates the GOP because they don't respect apes and that fact triggers his racial inferiority complex.
So deep is his racial complex that he will overlook every single one of Obama's flaws, even when he purports to disagree with Obama on a number of issues, even though every candidate who ever ran against Obama specifically warned Obama about Russia, it doesn't matter, Obama satiates his racial inferiority complex.

Still nonresponsive.
I thought this part of the article, which you left out, was interesting:
More details were provided to Congress in classified briefings, and some Democrats were angered. Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.), the top Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said he was “fed up” with the administration’s failure to punish Russia over election interference.
So more of Dems grandstanding about information they don't believe will be made public, so they can say whatever they want about it.

But according to WLMAS 'Kleptocroatic Oligarchs' own him for investing in his properties, even though they've invested in every other major real estate developer's properties too.
Were the Developers who sold properties to Prevezon accessories to money laundering too?
https://www.buzzfeed.com/thomasfrank/secret-money-how-trump-made-millions-selling-condos-to
"The property records analyzed by BuzzFeed News would not by themselves reveal money laundering – only warning signs. And Trump is not unique in selling condos to cash-paying shell companies. BuzzFeed News examined non-Trump buildings in Manhattan and South Florida and found that roughly the same percentage of units were sold to shell companies in all-cash transactions as in Trump buildings."
How can a seller be liable beyond due diligence? (which effectively doesn't exist in the RE industry as it is explicitly exempt from KYC laws per the Patriot Act).

You mean the way in which Russia brazenly invaded Georgia in '08 only to be rewarded by Obama with a Russian reset?
You mean the Soviets/Russians who have been supporting the anti-war movement in the US for decades, of which Obama was THE prime beneficiary (since he wouldn't have won the very close primary race without the opposition to the Iraq War)?

The invasion of Ukraine was a response to the revolution taking down Yanukovych. Yanukovych was democratically elected, the people of Ukraine overall happened to elect a pro-Russian leader, and they were denied the democratic right to do so. Even Yanukovych's former political party was also banned.
There are genuinely pro-Russian/anti-Western Ethnic Orthodox Slavs in Eastern Ukraine and they were politically disenfranchised to the benefit of the pro-Western Catholic Slavs in Western Ukraine.
If people democratically vote for a pro-Russian leader denying them that right is by definition anti-democratic. If the people of Egypt want to vote for the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood, and are denied that right, that is also by definition anti-democratic. At that point, it is no longer about democracy.

By the way, you do realize that Latham is a standard conservative/national review guy, right?
I guarantee you this is his take on the clinton email server case:
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/440380/obama-email-alias-clinton-why-fbi-didnt-prosecute-hillary
You are literally one of only people in the world who maintains the harebrained view that Clinton and Obama had nothing to do with each other, and that Clinton was a crook while Obama was pure and innocent, and the only reason you have that opinion is because you're nigger with an inferiority complex who supported Obama for no reason other than his subhuman ethnic background.
