The bottom line is that Carter Page has been investigated since 2013. He was not a member of the Trump campaign at the time of the warrant application, so what's the problem?
The Yahoo article was NOT used to confirm Steele's testimony. The memo makes it look that way, but the article was used to point out that the information was being made public, and Carter Page might be inclined to started hiding or destroying information.
The entire Nunes memo is partisan bullshit that you already conceded was materially false. |

Wrey and Rosenstein ran to Paul Ryan for help but he basically said he couldn't help them. So Wrey, Rosenstein and Nunes came to a deal allowing ONE member of congress along with two investigators to review the documentation. Nunes picked Trey Gowdy because Gowdy was a former federal prosecutor and in the best position to understand what he was looking at. Gowdy co-wrote the memo.
