i was never into skiing that much so it wasn't a big deal and i gave it up right away. but it made me lot more apprehensive about playing squash which is my only real love and hobby to speak of. i still play squash but take it very easy |

I've been skiing since I was 3 and I love it, but I am seriously thinking about hanging it up for good after this.
I'm just gonna focus on rehab and getting back to 100% and then make a decision.
At the least I am severely limiting my runs on expert and advanced terrain. |

Conditions were not good, I was tired, and I was skiing one of the more difficult gladed runs at Canyons. Basically just lost my balance momentarily, caught an edge, couldn't recover in time and veered off into a cluster of trees. Right leg took the entire impact and I shattered my tibial plateau. |

Mad props to them and the job they did, took like 5 guys 45 minutes to extricate me from the ridiculous position I was in and secure me on the sled but they did a great job getting me down the hill over some very challenging terrain. I am going on short-term disability for the next 4 weeks. Then a half-time flex schedule for 4 weeks, then hopefully I will be able to resume full-time work with some modifications. |
