For instance, Iran's POTUS is a figurehead and it's true chief executive isn't a chief executive, he's a dictator, and head of a religious panel that really makes the decisions, only they have been on the verge of losing power for a decade, so they more or less co-govern with the paramilitary force that actually enforces all their shitty laws that they make up.

Libs hate Trump because he's a shitty person who takes all his cues from other shitty people like Roy Cohn and Roger Stone. Leaving policy completely aside, if Rubio or Jeb was POTUS right now libs would be trying to stir each other up, but it wouldn't work nearly as well. Trump makes it easy because he's a loudmouthed walking definition of the Dunning-Kruger effect and he pays egregious sums of money to fuck fourth tier porn stars and introduces them to his oldest son, while his infant son misses developmental milestones in the first six months of his life, likely due to his shitty, 60+ year old father's rotted sperm. You basically can't really like the guy unless you're all in on anti-immigration as your more or less single issue, and a tax cut that fucks limousine liberals in blue states is a nice bonus, unless it also fucks you. |
