--Construction noise outside the building at all hours. Yes, ALL---12am to 5am? Yes. More than once in the last month? Yes.
--Smells. All the smells. Trash maybe? Moldy wet smell too. Inside the unit and the building itself.
--Mail theft is a big issue. I haven't personally experienced this but it's bad enough that the building says it's working with police about it.
-- There is a pending lawsuit (maybe resolved by now?) that began in 2014 because the units, "become uninhabitable in the summer" due to overheating because of improperly glazed windows. Some blame the architects, some the developers. Not sure what the status is now. Just good to be aware.
-- The fire alarm goes off ALL OF THE TIME. When I read the reviews before moving in, I didn't believe it. But it's true. It goes off 3-4 times per month, for no reason. It's loud and intrusive. In the past it has gone off for 30+ minutes with no explanation.
-- The elevators are constantly getting shut off for maintenance.
-- Moving in and out is a major hassle. You can only reserve the loading dock for a 3 hour time block, weeks in advance, and they charge you $250 for the pleasure.
-- The apartments overheat and have no airflow or A/C. HOA is suing builders because of this. In the short term, expect it to be 15-20 degrees hotter in your apartment compared to outside.

Friend of mine owns and rents out a unit in that building. Check the location, some units, as noted above, get direct sunlight that make the rooms hot, hence the lawsuit. I think that's the floorpan she might own, gets $3500+ a month in rent for it. It's seems like a nice complex, I think a pool, etc. Check to see if there is an option to buy a parking space, buy it even if you don't have a car; you can rent that shit out as well. It's super close to Caltrain so if you work on the Peninsula that's an advantage, also helps the rental value. Grocery and some bars/restaurants around it as well.
