This is sort of what I saw before me and why I decided to drop out of law school. I sat down and ran the numbers and looked at the opportunity cost and decided that it just didn't make sense for me.
This type of atrophy process, which leads to weaker and weaker pools of talent with continually declining standards (look, for example, where LSAT scores are for top institutions now vs 10 or even 5 years ago) eventually causes systemic weakness and decay.
It makes it easier for an entire profession to be dominated by the wealthy, connected or the AA admits (but guess who picks and selects them?) - for the Law at least, this becomes our nations next level of government and judicial authority - dumber, wealthier and weaker than the generations before them

Maybe they should be able to sell back their degree? At least then they had years of free partying and some kind of education, if not the degree to prove it. |
