My old gym teacher was some ex-college soccer star who had an injury so he couldn't go pro or something, so he taught gym. Ended up knocking up a student teacher who was 19, I met her once at a softball game, they ended up getting married & divorced, she was smokin' hot. He coached the girls soccer and softball, one girl in the year below me was definitely infatuated with him. Nice dude, too. He would always give me a knowing look and a smile when I would inspire lust in the girls in gym class with my athleticism. He "got" it.

But in general, probably just dudes with daughters trying to stay involved.
