The proof is in the revealed preferences. Only poors subsist on vegetables (because they can't afford meat). Every rich country eats animals and lots of them, because they are delicious. You can get maybe 10% of the flavor from plants as you can from plants and meats.
You can't even argue it tastes "better"-- a meat-eater can eat everything a vegetarian/vegan can PLUS they have all these other options. |
