That school resource officer wasn’t there to prevent a massacre in a 3000 person school. He was there to investigate & make arrests for things like theft & assault.
Expecting one man to run directly into that & likely death with a shitty gun is a much taller order than people are making it out to be. I’m sure the man has his own family & kids. I don’t think it’s that wrong to wait for a team of better equipped professionals to arrive instead of just throwing his life away. People just want a scapegoat. But I bet many would have acted the same way if the roles were reversed. |

These were guys who knew they were in a combat zone, who had better weaponry than their enemy, and who received more training than some clown with a CCP permit. In most of these mass shooting cases people assume there is more than one shooter because the assault occurs so quickly and the sound is so powerful and surprising that it feels like an assault by an army, not a lone shooter.
