CLSG needs to stay away from ramping up his OWN personal PI case. Like, if he's in a car accident, don't do all the ramping up stuff re chiros ordering MRIs etc.
The way an atty who did something similar in Baltimore w a whole PI shop got shut down was by getting a little too creative with his Own PI case, claiming very questionable specials, and then the state bar got involved because of course he has to be forthright w the court, and then ... not good. not good.
But I'm sure CLSG is too smart for that. This guy in Baltimore was really dumb. Lots of problems w solicitation runners crossing the MAryland/DC border too

This is completely untrue. My paralegal got in a car accident five months ago and had serious neck and shoulder injuries. She received several epidurals and PRP in her shoulder (she has a partial tear). Initial offer was $5,000 because there was only about $1,000 in property damage. Currently in litigation and there are no problems.
It's lolz too because when you call my office her name is on my directory. The adjusters know she works for me. I told them they should know I won't fuck around then. They are taking it pretty seriously. Should settle for close to $100,000 by the time we are done.
I'm also cutting my fee in half on this one and I'm going to grind my doctors down twice as much as normal to help her out. She is an asset to my firm and great at her job.
Also, I've had many friends get in accidents who are PI lawyers. We all just rep each other for free. Never had any problems. We treat them just like any other case.

She was our receptionist and would sometimes come to lunch with me and another lawyer. One day we headed down to the parking garage for a trip to Chipotle. The other lawyer suggested, "let's take [receptionist's] car; she never drives." Her CRV (not memeing) was right there and nothing to be ashamed of.
But she was clearly uncomfortable with the idea and tried to stammer out an objection as we approached the passenger side. He brushed her objection aside, "we won't tease you if it's dirty."
She began blushing a bit, unlocked the doors, and said she needed to clear out the back seat. She cracked the door open barely enough to get her arm in and dragged out a large unzipped gym bag.
A giant knee-high boot that looked just like this https://static01.nyt.com/images/2009/03/22/travel/22next600.jpg (on a woman that looked just like her) flopped out onto to garage floor.
"Hey, what's that?!"
Her story unraveled from there.
(Side note: dancing pays better than answering phones for lawyers.)
