Millennials have to basically wagecuck their entire lives and stash everything into their 401k. Early retirement can be an option, but that usually requires prestige careers (medicine, law, finance) that can be expensive and time consuming to break into.
I can imagine anyone has other, probably less lucrative, things they’d rather be doing with their one shot on this planet. But what happens to people who can’t afford to retire? Every boomer I know has some sort of pension. They’ve already said SS payouts will only be 80%, so it will probably be significantly less than that.
