A CRV with a different body and utilitarian interior that was marketed to young people put the demographic that bought it turned out to be boomers and olds. Yes, really.

It was pitched as a lifestyle vehicle (like a wrangler), but it was a soft roader suitable only for dirt roads.

It made it one generation but demand did not merit a refresh.
