Planet Hollywood had this YUGE space in the forefront of the Horton Plaza mall in downtown San Diego. When I first moved here 20 years ago that was there.
It quickly went out of business and an "art" store took over. Just a giant store with a collection of framed prints to buy. That didn't last long.
That spot apparently attracted a lot of people that had more money than they knew what to do it because the next thing that went in there was Sam Goody. Three stories of CDs and DVDs.
Some of you may be asking what is there now?
They tore it all down. Now there is a concrete park filled with tourists and homeless people. GC will sell you a waffle cone.
Point is, that was my last shot at finding a portal back to the 90s.
