I am a full-natty bro, but I'm very knowledgeable about AAS / PEDs / TRT / etc. Ask away.

"Based on whether the patients received TRT (injection with 1,000 mg testosterone undecanoate) or a placebo (advice to modify lifestyle), the study population was divided into a TRT group (n=54) and a control group (n=52)."

That is not a fucking placebo.

Flame? A placebo would be injecting patients with the lipid vehicle that the t-ester is in.

That would be a much much much better placebo.

Any benign treatment counts as a placebo though.

No.

Going beyond the recommended dose is bad for you heart because testosterone generally is associated with higher rates of heart disease -- but "cardiotoxic" is the wrong term.

Also, overall physiological improvements from TRT appear to outweigh the negative effects on the heart. That said, you should be sure to have a very good diet if you're on TRT. Also be sure to get the higher resolution cholesterol tests than can differentiate between the different types of LDL.

Go to LifeExtenion.com, buy a test and go to a local labcorp. Get the basic male hormone panel. If you're concerned about hair and/or take finasteride, be sure to also get your DHT tested.

If you're legit in the middle or upper half of the normal range, don't bother with TRT.

If you're in the bottom of or below the range, give it a shot.

I've you're in the normal range, when you go to the doc for testing, go out drinking the night before and then do a heavy deadlift+Squat workout that morning. You will show up on the test with the Ttest levels of a 5 year old.

i think there's a good chance i'm in the middle or upper range. you're saying i should BYPASS that and get a positive result anyway?

why not just get it from underground sources?

If you are in solid middle or upper middle range, then I think it's a toss up whether it's worth trying out. You will need a higher dose to get anything out of it, and that has additional risks.

UG lab test sucks. It's loaded with alcohol to keep it safe and that will cause lots of pain and immune system response. And it still will likely give you an infection eventually.

Is there a benefit doing it the testing and test via a local LabCorp than if you can do it on your health insurance? (Still trying to navigate/understand the us health system). Thanks!

If you do it through health insurance, you need to go through doc. The whole point is to avoid going through the doc for the first time until you get a sense of where you're out and how/whether you need to game the system.

I'm recommending TRT if he meets the clinical criteria.

Also -- it's coming off gear, and using various more androgenic compounds that may lead to emotional instability.

TRT users become much more emotionally stable.

Testosterone Unecanoate will be approved in the US soon. You only need injection once every 6 months. Or you can do it orally every day. (Safe since it absorbs through lymphatic system and not liver)
